I was born and grew up in England, and
started painting at an early age, attending
Manchester Art School in the U.K. when I was thirteen years old.
From there I went on to
Manchester Regional Collage of Art where I took a three year specialist
course in
Product Illustration.
For the most part my career has been in the field of Technical
Illustration, fine art being more of
a hobby. After moving to Canada I started entering juried shows and
taking some
commissioned pet portraiture. I also produced paintings for publishing
companies
in the fine art print industry and a series of collectable plates for
both The Bradford Exchange
and The Danbury Mint.
The medium I use is watercolor, as are all the paintings you see in my
gallery. Watercolor has
always been the medium of choice for me as with watercolor I can
achieve the level of detail I want.
I almost always paint animals, by that I mean domestic animals, I
do like to paint the occasional
still life or a landscape, these are given as gifts to friends and
family, I’ve shown some of them here
as an example.
